Inn Sæi

Sorry for the late blog post, I have been feeling lethargic lately so I wasn't in the mood to write a decent blog post. Nonetheless, if you know me, I'm the type to watch documentaries rather than movies in my free time (boring I know) and the other day I had watched Inn Sæi, which is a documentary about going with your intuition. Personally, I had found the documentary interesting as well as convincing to watch.

Inn Sæi means intuition in Icelandic but it also has other meanings.

The ancient Icelandic word for intuition is “innsæi,” but in Iceland it has multiple meanings. It can mean “the sea within” which is the borderless nature of our inner world, a constantly moving world of vision, feelings and imagination beyond words. It can mean “to see within” which means to know yourself, and to know yourself well enough to be able to put yourself in other people’s shoes. And it can mean “to see from the inside out” which is to have a strong inner compass to navigate your way in our ever-changing world.

Personally, I think that I have a really strong intuition. A lot of the times I feel like something is going to happen or I will encounter this or that person on a particular day and most of the time it does actually happen. Sometimes I can also sense what people feel about me and it also turns out to be true. It's not like I can see into the future or anything like that but most of the time when I feel like something is going to happen, it does and some of my friends can definitely vouch for this. That's why these days, I always follow my intuition. I also believe that my intuition is a guidance from God.

Not all of my intuitions are good, of course, I have bad feelings sometimes. And these 'bad'/unpleasant things do occur too. My intuition could sometimes come as a form of a dream or it's just in my gut feeling as a thought pops up. It's not like I think about it so much that it becomes a self-fulfilled prophecy, normally I just let it go and let fate take me but most of the time, what I'm feeling is true and it's always interesting to see how everything unravels. However, if it's a funny feeling that I dislike, I would always be cautious with the things that I do, or the people that I interact with.

All in all, listen to your intuition because it's always a good thing to trust yourself and maybe it's God or the universe trying to tell you something. Who knows, maybe you're subconsciously trying to protect yourself or maybe it's an opportunity that will help your journey in life.

There is a voice that doesn’t use words. Listen.
